There is no hospital in town, although the fire department is well equipped for medical emergencies. Other medical facilities include the Colorado River Medical Center which is located in Needles and the Western Regional Medical Center which is located in Bullhead City.

The Golden Shores Watch and Patrol, which was incorporated in 1995, has assisted in decreasing crime in its community to the lowest percentage of crime in the area.
