There are many Saguaro and Barrel Cactus to enjoy on the Arizona Joshua Parkway which begins at Wikieup. The Joshua Forest Scenic Road was designated on April 20, 1992, by the Arizona Department of Transportation. At the heart of the parkway stands one of only three Joshua tree forests in the state.
Along the incredibly scenic drive is a backdrop of rugged mountain ranges and cliffs. By Mile Marker 169 the forest of Joshua trees is dense. Joshua Forest Scenic Parkway crosses the blurred boundary between the Sonoran and Mojave deserts in western Arizona. |
